Be. is currently seeking a passionate Digital Marketing Coordinator to our Team!

Be is located in a beautiful 1915 restored character home, and although this position is remote, we are looking for someone who is passionate about sharing our mission of holistic mental health and healing.

The digital marketing coordinator will help us develop and share Be’s unique mission and offerings to our surrounding communities. This role is vital in helping the organization maintain a regular conversation with our followers online as well as help shape the evolution of our brand as we continue to grow.

Position Details

  • Location: 95% virtual/remote, but occasional on-site presence is required for involvement with important events and to assist in content creation.

  • Hours: 5-7 hours a week to start, with the possibility to take on more time as we grow and develop our digital marketing presence.

  • Position Type: Independent Contractor, with potential contractor-to-hire as regular employee

  • Compensation & Benefits: Entry-level, depending on experience. Potential to help organize and attend speciality offerings.

Position Responsibilities

As part of the marketing and communications team, this position is an important part in helping set the tone and culture for our clients, team members, and community partners. Our goal is to make Be. a peaceful and nourishing place to work so we can create a positive and supportive experience for our clients AND our practitioners from the moment they first walk in the front door.⁠

In coordination with the Marketing & Communications Manager and Executive Director,
the Digital Marketing Coordinator will assist us in the following areas:

 

Social Media

Work with Marketing & Communications Manager to develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement (emphasis on local event/class promotion)

  • Regular virtual meetings with the Marketing Manager

  • Manage social media accounts and create compelling content for Facebook and Instagram (with an emphasis on regular event/ class promotion)

    • 4-6+ posts per week of organic content, including posts and stories

    • Responding to all direct messages, comments, and exploring tags

    • Daily exploratory engagement with new accounts and desire to build relationships with other creators that share the spirit of Be. (especially local)

  • Analyze social media data and generate regular reports on key metrics

  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in social media and provide recommendation to improve campaign outcomes

Newsletter & Digital Communications

Work with Marketing & Communications Manager to execute monthly newsletter and assist with engagement through Be’s website

  • Includes loading content, scheduling newsletter, and assisting with design and formatting

  • Analyze data to generate regular reports on key metrics and suggest appropriate improvements to build our audience and improve audience retention

  • Oversee and manage the email database

  • Begin learning industry best practices and emerging trends in email marketing, while aligning with Be’s mission to share valuable information to our audience and connect with them resources

  • Assist, as needed, with making basic updates to Be’s website

Content Creation & Coordination

Work with Marketing & Communications Manager and local partners to develop still (and potentially video) content that aligns with Be’s spirit and messaging for use on social media, email newsletter, and the organization’s website (page content, blogs, etc.)

  • Assist in management and organization of digital content

  • Assist in capturing photo or video from community offerings when appropriate

  • Assist in brainstorming creative ways to share the sensory landscape of Be. for our audience while maintaining the highest level of client privacy

  • Assist in using design programs to create content for social media and/or Be’s website

Desired Qualifications and Skills

 

Required:

  • Must be able to be self-motivated with ability to manage small, well-defined projects and meet regular deadlines with minimum supervision

  • Excellent communication skills, especially written, which are required for both internal and external clientele

  • Passion for and curiosity about mental health care, holistic wellness and healing modalities, and public health

  • Desire to build partnerships and make relationships with new community partners

  • Prior experience in social media management and email marketing

  • Familiarity managing newsletter user databases, and contributing to or managing regular newsletter or email marketing campaign creation

  • A keen editing eye and attention to detail are required

 Preferred:

  • Experience using Google Suite in a remote capacity

  • Experience with social media advertising

  • Experience with graphic/digital design, especially within Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experience using Klaviyo Email Marketing platform

  • Experience in or desire to learn simple photography and photo-editing
