Be. Seen | Mind, Body, Spirit Sibling Support Group (Experiential Activities)

  • Be. // Center for Holistic Mental Health & Healing 1309 South Oneida Street Appleton, WI, 54915 United States (map)

Be. Seen is a mind, body, spirit sibling support group designed for school-aged siblings of individuals with special and unique abilities and needs.

Siblings of children with these considerations can sometimes feel isolated, overlooked, and need a space for emotional support, cognitive processing, and body integration. We SEE you! That is why at Be. we offer a group designed specifically with those needs in mind.

Be. Seen is a group that meets biweekly, and the group design is structured around two types of meetings. This is Week 1: Movement

WEEK ONE: Experiential Activities

This week, we will explore experiential activities designed to help us move, connect, integrate, and feel supported. Activities may include movement, creative-based activities, sensory-based activities, connection-based activities, mindfulness, sound, essential oils, and breathwork. These practices are intended to help participants calm the nervous system, restore and relax, and re-energize and rebalance.

We will meet together in the light, open space of the Be You Yoga Studio, where everyone will have plenty of room to move, explore, connect, and participate comfortably.

Guided by: Be. Providers on a rotating basis
Location: Be You Yoga Studio
Cost: $50 per session
Max participants: 8
Age Range: ALL AGES

Participants will benefit from coming in each new week, as we will continue to grow and build upon experiences from week-to-week. But please feel free to join us at any time; it doesn’t matter which session you attend first.

This group is offered by a variety of Be. providers.

PLEASE NOTE:

This group is not intended to diagnose or treat but rather provide adjunct support to your child. This is an open group format which means we welcome new participants each week to the movement and process portions of the group. The group members may change each session. With that, no matter how long your child attends, we ask that each participant respects the nature and sensitivity of the information that may be shared by upholding and respecting the confidentiality of the other members’ information.

At Be. we aim to make our offerings accessible for all who desire to attend. If you have special considerations that you feel you want to process please email Carey Sorenson at be@beholisticcenter.com.
